Controlled institutional beta

Results are measured. Commercial capability is harder to see.

Growth Score measures whether an early-stage company has built the commercial capability to win and keep customers - and records how that position changes over time.

For organisations that fund, commission or deliver support to early-stage companies.

The missing measure

Programme reporting often shows activity immediately and financial outcomes much later. Growth Score adds a consistent measure between the two, while there is still time to act.

It gives participating institutions:

  • A commercial-capability position at intake
  • A basis for directing support
  • A second measurement after at least 90 days
  • Evidence of movement for each company and across the cohort

Currently in controlled beta

fac16 is working with a limited number of accelerators, universities, public bodies, banks and investors.

During beta, the detailed method, measurement environment and specimen reporting are available only to approved organisations under confidentiality arrangements.

Important boundaries

Growth Score measures selected commercial capabilities and current commercial momentum. It does not predict growth, funding outcomes or creditworthiness, and is not an automated decision-making tool.
